NBA Kicks: Kenneth Faried pays homage to Kareem Abdul-Jabbar with adidas Crazy 8 “Blueprint”

2014 - February 27 - CoverKenneth Faried has been on a bit of a retro phase as of late. It shouldn’t come as a surprise, though; when we talked to him prior to the season, he made mention of upping his sneaker game by not only rocking the newest, latest and best adidas has to offer, but that he was also going to step it up in the retro department as well. We’ve all been the beneficiary of that in the past few weeks, as he has rocked various colorways of the adidas Crazy 1, including an ice blue colorway that I hope will drop sooner rather than later.

Last night might be the most noteworthy yet for Faried as he paid homage to one of the greatest of all-time in Kareem Abdul-Jabbar when he wore the “Blueprint” adidas Crazy 8 that recognizes Jabbar’s time at UCLA.

As for the rest of the night in kicks, DeMar DeRozan and Michael Beasley paid homage to Michael Jordan (like everybody else everyday) with the Air Jordan 4 “Black/Red”, LeBron James donned a black mask and a yellow Nike Zoom Soldier 7 PE, John Wall hung on for three overtimes in the adidas CrazyQuick and much more.
