With the announcement that the adidas Originals Stan Smith would be returning to Barney’s during New York Fashion Week and then in at other select retailers in small batches afterwards its clear that adidas is putting the pair on the pedestal it deserves. The sneaker was most recently spotted as a part of Platform 6′s Charity Auction to benefit Stonewall. The auction finds celebrities putting their spin on the classic silhouette and as you can see from the gallery above things got pretty creative. With names like Kate Moss, Boy George, Kylie Minogue, Naomi Campbell and Elton John listed we can only imagine how much each pair will net for the cause.
