Raf Simons for adidas 2014 Spring/Summer Collection

If you paid any attention to Raf Simons' Spring/Summer 2014 runway show in Paris, you may have glimpsed a preview of next year's collaboration with sportswear giant, adidas. Following the designer's debut collection of tricked-out adidas sneakers, the new range builds upon the unique design codes they’ve established, such as the “shoe-in-shoe” concept, while unveiling new styles for greater variance and depth. The colorful kicks will come in eight unisex models in up to four colorways for a total of 21 unique designs, all of which feature Raf Simons' playful, comic-book aesthetic and exaggerated shapes. And, while Fall/Winter 2013 focused on upgrading running classics like the Response and Ozweego models, spring will include a remix of the iconic Stan Smith tennis shoe and an adidas Bounce-inspired trainer with printed uppers, among other Lego-colored, velcro-strapped designs. If you're interested, mark your calendars for February 2014, when the kicks will retail at adidas Originals concept stores, select sneaker specialists and Raf boutiques around the world.
