Soccer fans will be pleased with latest offering, as adidas announces the upcoming arrival of the lightest soccer cleat ever made, with this adidas adizero 99g.
Previously a concept at adidas’ Innovation Lab, the new adizero 99g will be the inaugural product to debut from the adidas Soccer “Limited Collection,” thus limited quantities and showcase the best in adidas Soccer innovation.
While 99g hints at its possible weight of only 99 grams, which equates to less than half of a pound (0.2 lbs to be exact), this revolutionary cleat has been carefully designed to make players both lighter and faster. Overall comprised of a lightweight upper made from a single layer of woven polyester mesh, in addition to a 1mm polyamide outsole that reduces weight, the model is also equipped with a unique stud layout that ensures agility and versatility in all directions.
Weighing nearly half the weight of a standard cleat, be on the lookout for this limited edition adidas adizero 99g cleat to arrive at adidas retailers on April 15th in men’s size 9 only.

Author’s Take
I’ve only played soccer (or football) during my days in high school (a long time ago), just because I wanted to try something different. I still remember being grazed by a cleat and it was painful.
Any who, with the way innovative tech is applied, performance and safety is always a key and this latest soccer cleat has its edge by being the lightest ever.
If there’s any soccer (football) fans out there, I’m sure your happy with this news.
