Blake Griffin has made a big deal about not dunking as much anymore. He wrote a long and thoughtful piece for The Players Tribune – where he puts in work as a Senior Editor – about the evolution of his jump shot and the years he has put in trying to turn it into a dangerous weapon that will keep the opposing defense honest. It’s not like he’s stopped dunking completely but by openly acknowledging that he was going away from the thing that made him one of the most popular (and hated) players in the NBA, it opened him up to even more criticism on top of what he was already getting. Don’t you sometimes wish it was 2011 again and all we cared about was who was the poor sucker Blake dunked on?
