For the latest iteration of its premium "A League" collaborative endeavor, adidas and its skateboaring imprint have tapped Magenta Skateboards for a capsule collection. Customized by Magenta co-founders Vivien Feil and Soy Panday for specialty skate shops, the limited-edition drop celebrates the longstanding bond between the two brands and is highlighted by Magenta's own take on the adidas Skate, as well as a unique soccer jersey. Said co-founder Feil:
Our relationship with adidas has been going strong since we launched Magenta and our brands seem to have endless connections on varying levels. We both have European roots, share a similar taste for originality and have mutual team riders including my partner Soy Panday and Magenta pro Leo Valls.
Magenta's Skate reimagines the low-top silhouette, resurrecting it for the project with a cream-colored suede upper, the brand's "ALL CONNECTED" mantra and custom insoles as a nod to Mother Nature while the corresponding jersey comes decked out in Magenta's collegiate burgundy hue along with a custom crest and infinity symbol -- an homage to the infinite possibilities that exist within skateboarding.
Magenta's "A League" pack will be available online and at select specialty retailers in limited quantities beginning May 1.
