It appears that Under Armour is set to doing big things in the forthcoming future. Under Armour has just announced that it has secured a new building in none other than Portland, Oregon. The building is said to be worth $10 million dollars and Under Armour stated that it will be utilized a place to further develop footwear and innovations operations.
One thing worth mentioning is that the 70,000 square foot space used to function as a YMCA, which means that the building will already come equipped with a full fitness facility that includes swimming pools, basketball courts, locker rooms and offices. That’s pretty dope! Another thing that should definitely be noted, is that Portland, Oregon also houses Under Armour’s two main competitors, Nike and adidas. This goes to show that their move to Portland, Oregon proves that they’re going all in when it comes to their aggressive campaign to improve their technology footwear and innovations department. If you ask me, that’s a pretty daring move in part by Under Armour. Go big or go home, right?
