adidas Originals Add ‘Star Wars’ Graphics To Their Mi ZX FLUX Customization App

May the 4th be with you. Today is National “Star Wars” Day, and adidas is getting in on the festivities. The adidas Originals ZX FLUX customization app released last year, has added a “dedicated ‘Star Wars’ graphic library” today so you can nerd out and add some generation-defining characters to your kicks.

Some of the images include Darth Vader, C-3PO, R2-D2, Boba Fett, Stormtroopers and more. Other likenesses from the series will be added over time to stay fresh (Episode VII is coming out, after all), but only official Star Wars imagery within the library “will pass the moderation process.” There goes our Boba-D2 mashup.

The #miZXFLUX Photo APP was created to unsheathe a consumer’s inner designer. It’s supposed to facilitate a more creative endeavor to procuring footwear. Simply including a Star Wars design from the film flies in the face of that app ethos, but after such an overflow of desire from consumers, they’re bringing Star Wars images to the fans. Good timing on the release.
