Following the highly anticipated May 16 release of the Palace Skateboards x adidas Originals Pro Primeknit with the accompaniment of D Double E's hypnotic video instalment, we take a closer look at the duo's latest collaborative efforts. Marking yet another collection in a long line of products from German sportswear giant adidas and London's Palace Skateboards, the Pro Primeknit has effectively combined advanced, lightweight footwear technologies with the ideals required to be a hard-wearing and functional skate shoe. Based around the design of a 1968 Gazelle Indoor silhouette, the collaboration has used the classic soccer shoe’s sole and moulded tongue, while combining it with a tactile and breathable Primeknit upper. As much as this particular collaboration retains Palace’s ongoing soccer theme, it was designed purely for skateboarding and comes equipped with advanced heel counter support, perforated paneling for added breathability, high-grip soles and a rubberized coating that protects the various abrasion-prone spots around the shoe’s toe box. As both models of “almost definitely one of the best trainers to come out this month” have sold out in most locations, stay tuned to Palace's official web shop for more information on a potential re-stock.
