adidas Originals is proud to present the newest collection from the Superstar model, the Superstar City Series. The City Series pack will be paying tribute to sporting locales from all around the world.
The shoes will grab inspiration from the bold colors of the adidas training shoes from back in the ’70s and ’80s. A total of six cities will be represented in six different bold monochromatic colorways – Paris, London, New York, Berlin Tokyo and Shanghai. Completing the tonal shoe will be hits of gold used to used to emboss the city name on the heel part of the shoe. Each shoe is said to pay tribute to the style of the past while at the same time cast a spotlight on the places where cultures are born. With a global release of May 28, are you looking to grab a few pairs from the Superstar City Series pack?

Author’s Take
I feel like the monochromatic look closely mimics the look of the Pharrell x adidas collab we saw a while back. Aside from the city branding, one noticeable difference I am able to identify is the use of suede used on the majority of the upper.
I actually prefer these over the previous tonal versions that Pharrell took out.
