Yesterday to much fanfare we saw the return of the iconic adidas Stan Smith after a two-year hiatus. With a huge marketing push that included ads that you saw on this site and other sneakers blogs and a clever little Twitter marketing campaign that has gone viral, you would think that we were celebrating the arrival of the latest technology-driven performance shoe from adidas. Instead, we are getting essentially a retro of a shoe that was available as recently as some people reading this started getting interested in sneakers (two years ago).
