Poll: Making The Perfect mi adidas D Lillard 1 (For Me)

It’s not a stretch to say that the adidas D Lillard 1 has been one of the most well-received signature shoe debuts to come out in recent memory. With a design that is actually lives up to the promise of being made for both on and off the court (because let’s be honest, every designer and athlete of every signature shoe says that but rarely do they actually deliver), the D Lillard 1 has been part of the good buzz that’s been building for the brand lately. And Lord knows adidas can always use some positive buzz that doesn’t have to do with Originals or Kanye.

One of the more underutilized concepts that adidas really should make a bigger deal of is mi adidas. Thanks to the hype of the literally limitless possibilities of the ZX Flux app that was introduced earlier this year, sneakerheads began to realize that adidas can do what Nike does in customization game and more, at least in the case of the ZX Flux. Now that’s not to say mi adidas has the wide array of options that NIKEiD presents, but for a service that’s been under the radar for years now, maybe this will be the inspiration they need to do more.

As an example, take the adidas D Lillard 1. While there is a good variety of colors available to make a bespoke masterpiece, options like metallic finishes or glow-in-the-dark touches or whatever thematerial that’s on the Originals XENO Pack collection could have put the mi adidas D Lillard 1 on the map. Maybe it’ll come in a future update or maybe that’s for the D Lillard 2, but what we do know is that the potential is there.
