NBA Kicks: Beardless Steve Nash returns and leads Team Nike Kobe 8

If only Rubio had maybe 10% of Nash's shooting touch.

If only Rubio had maybe 10% of Nash’s shooting touch…

It has been a long time since Steve Nash last played for the Los Angeles Lakers. Back then, despite not having Kobe Bryant in the lineup, there was optimism among Laker fans that they were going to be able to tread water with Wesley Johsnon, Xavier Henry and the immortal Swaggy P. Then Nash went down with an injury, Kobe has been in and out physically, Pau Gasol has been in and out mentally, Steve Blake and Henry got hurt and coach Mike D’Antoni was being well, coach Mike D’Antoni. At least they’ve been amazing on the sneaker side thanks to Swaggy P and now that Nash and Blake are back, the number of Nike Kobe 8 iDs and PEs on the court have increased exponentially.

Sadly, Nash’s return was enough as the Lakers lost again. But that’s not so much of a bummer as Nash shaving off his beard, ending all hopes that he was going to challenge James Harden for Beard MVP.

As for the rest of the night in kicks, several players on the Atlanta Hawks rocked the “Black History Month” Nike KD 6 and Zoom Soldier 7, Markieff Morris wore the Air Jordan 12 “Taxi”, Taj Gibson confuses me with the blue stripes on his adidas Crazy Fast 2 and more.
