NBA Kicks All-Star Saturday: John Wall “wins” Slam Dunk Contest in adidas Crazy 1

2014 - Slam Dunk - CoverSo if you’re keeping score at home, John Wall won the 2014 Slam Dunk Contest because of one dunk. A damn good dunk, but just one dunk… JohnWallDunk2

Thanks an all-new format meant to bring back some life to the dunk contest, the East vs. West concept ending up boring the audience as they watched what was basically a glorified layup line during the first half of the competition. Thankfully the second part – which featured head-to-head battles – was a lot more interesting but ended right before people were starting to get excited. So all we’re left to do now is talk about the kicks that were featured last night; thankfully there was a lot to talk about.

Along with Wall representing for adidas in the “All-Star” Crazy 1, Marco Belinelli won a close three-point contest against to Bradley Beal in a vibrant Nike Hyperdunk 2013 PE, Damian Lillard got help from Trey Burke to win the Skills Challenge in the adidas D Rose 4.5 and Team Bosh was doing Team Bosh things like winning Shooting Stars challenges.
