Sporting a blue-based upper inspired by Kareem's storied career at UCLA - where he finished his career with an incredible 88-2 record, three NCAA championships, two-time Consensus Player of the Year honors, and a trio of NCAA Tournament MOP awards - the release is marked by a graphic sockliner that highlights what Kareem means to some of today's NBA superstars. Decked out in a single piece of synthetic suede with stitching and molded details that nod to the simplicity of Kareem's original Three Stripes footwear, the special Crazy 8 comes complete with a custom tongue patch and "33" embroidery at both the toe and heel. "The Blueprint" adidas Crazy 8 will make its on-court debut tonight as Kareem's alma mater faces of against the University of Colorado at Pauley Pavilion in LA.
