The Nike Air Yeezy 2 “Red October” (or should we say “Red February”) has finally released and as expected, they took the sneaker world by storm. Releasing as a silent quickstrike on Nike.com, people either cheered, cried or freaked out, sometimes all at once. These all-red kicks have been the talk of the sneakerhead community for a long time and if you weren’t one of the lucky few, just know that you’re not alone and that thankfully, you have options.
As some of us gloat about celebrate the release of the Nike Air Yeezy 2 “Red October,” let’s not forget that red kicks have been around for quite some time. The hype for red sneakers may have grown immensely with Kanye’s Red Octobers, but they’re not the first to do it. So let’s take a look at some of our favorite red kicks of all time.
