Ok, so part of me wants to believe that Kevin Durant was so mad that we rated the Nike KD 6 as the 50th best sneaker of 2013 that he went out and scored 48 points in a new colorway just to prove a point. I mean, what other reason could Durant have for scoring that many points against a Utah Jazz team that is closer to the lottery to the playoffs? Oh wait, Russell Westbrook is out? Was Patrick Beverly involved? No? But the Thunder have James Harden to help out, right? Wait, what? How about Serge Ibaka? Well, damn…
So without two of their best players and James Harden (yes, that’s a bit of a troll but that trade was so bad OKC kinda deserves it), Durant basically had to carry the load with the aforementioned new KD 6 colorway in every facet of the game just to keep it competitive against the Jazz.
