Kicks On Fire Top 50 Of 2013 Part 4: Nike Kobe 8 Wins Kicks Of The Year

And now the moment that you have all been waiting, the conclusion of the Kicks On Fire Top 50 Kicks Of 2013 (click here if you’ve missed part 1, part 2 and part 3). We’ve argued and fought for which kicks made it to the top and now we are here with the absolute best (in our opinion) kicks of the year. You might disagree with some or most of this list and that’s fine because that’s what the comments section is for. But until then (or whenever the Reader’s Choice Poll goes up), here are our picks for the best of 2013…

Standout Colorways: Black/White/Azure OG


2013 was the year that proved that centers can sell shoes. Well, retro ones at least because between Shaquille O’Neal, Dikembe Mutombo and Patrick Ewing, the big men in the paint were getting plenty of love from sneakerheads and brands thanks to reissues of classics like the adidas Mutombo, the revival of Ewing Athletics and Reebok bringing back Shaq Diesel. When we learned that the OG Reebok Shaq Attaq was priced at $160.00, we questioned whether or not Reebok could sell them at the price. Turns out we should have been wondering where to buy a pair because they sold out in a mere few hours, a feat normally reserved for Jordan retros. We have since seen the Shaq Attaq release in multiple colorways that don’t really match up to the original, but the strength of the first was such that we had to put it up this high on the list.
