adidas Readies for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil with the brazuca Official Match Ball

In anticipation for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, adidas invited us to check out its North American headquarters in Portland where the organization was in full preparation mode. Joined by Ernesto Bruce, adidas' director of soccer for North America, we were given a history lesson in the company's involvement with the beautiful game -- from Adi Dassler's invention of the screw-in football stud, to the iconic black-and-white Telstar football. After a tour through the adidas football testing and development center we were given a glimpse of the brazuca and some of the technology that went into it. Although still half a year away, this preview of adidas' advocacy towards the 2014 FIFA World Cup continues to show the brand's relationship regarding its players and fans, along with a strong commitment to the sport.
