Last season, Jimmy Butler caused a quiet riot among sneakerheads when he brought back the adidas THE KOBE, the signature of former adidas athlete and now Nike Black Mamba Kobe Bryant. We speculated at the time whether or not these were OGs or if they were samples for a future release, but we believed that adidas would do well to bring these back, especially in that obscenely bright “Sunshine” colorway. Well, flash forward a few months later and the “Sunshine” is set to return the day after Christmas. Not to say that we told you so, but…

Iman Shumpert did his part to get more awareness on the return of the Crazy 1 (because calling it THE KOBE in 2013 would be even more crazy) by rocking a pair against the Washington Wizards on Monday night. He didn’t wear the “Sunshine” colorway because that wouldn’t make much sense with the Knicks uniforms, but those white colorways that he and Butler are more than likely a sign that it will return to retail at some point as well.

As for the rest of the night in kicks, LeBron James goes back-to-back with the Nike LeBron 11, Kobe Bryant rocks the “Mine Grey” Kobe 8, Chris Bosh has a dope Hyperposite PE (again) that we will never get a chance to own at retail (again) and much more.
