One of adidas' best-loved silhouettes, the ZX 9000 has released in an OG colorway that should thrill fans of the classic kicks. In an icy-cool Hydra/Turquoise color scheme, the bring-back style boasts suede and mesh uppers, along with yellow midsoles and red, white and blue accents. adidas' Torsion system and Purolite cushioning tech, meanwhile, work as well today as they did in 1989, offering all-day comfort and support in an iconic package. adidas Originals brings forth a new colorway for its coveted Phantom silhouette, presenting an irresistibly clean rendition in Dark Slate. This rich colorway blends deep grey and navy colors on the full suede upper, giving a vivid appearance to the running-inspired shoe. For all its form though, the shoe is not without a sense of function, and accordingly a layer of the sneaker is also perforated at the toebox and sidewalls – areas which are the most sweat-prone. All of these features sit atop a gorgeous white outside, accented with royal blue in its middle and a contrasting khaki tab around the heel counter. Dikembe Mutombo was the name on everyone's lips recently with the recent retro release of his signature shoe from adidas Originals. The Congolese-born center was best known for his emphatic blocks and the signature finger-wag that would follow said blocks. Last seen in the NBA in 2009, it was with much sadness that Mutombo announced his retirement from the league following a knee injury in playoffs.His signature shoe, first released in 1993, returns 20 years after its debut looking as fresh as it did during its debut. With its signature African-inspired pattern, bold colors and sky-high cut, the adidas Originals Mutombo is a shoe that has been begging to be re-released and we're glad that is finally the case. We caught up with the big man at the 2013 New York Sneaker Con to talk about what it's like to see his signature again.

After previously unveiling a bold leopard-printed iteration of its Tech Super 2.0 silhouette earlier last month, adidas Originals returns with another rendition of the sneaker, though this time slightly subdued. This seasonally-apt version finds the shoe executed with olive green suede around the outermost portions of the upper, laid over a tonal leopard-printed layer of neoprene. These features rest atop a clean white EVA outsole, providing maximum support from the outside in. Other notable details include a printed heel tab which pays homage to adidas' German heritage, as well as a contrasting leopard interior. Look for this version of the adidas Originals Tech Super 2.0 on retailers such as A Few for approximately $172 USD.
