A lot has been done to the adidas Originals Tubular Runner over the past couple of years. So what’s next? The creative minds over at the Three Stripes have come out with a new design that has the lifestyle runner don a sole unit covered in a marble print. We’ve already seen this done on an all-white pair, now in 2016 the all-black pair will also get the marbled sole treatment.
The Tubular Runner will come in a Black and Bold Onix colorway. The upper comes in a neoprene construction accompanied by the hits of leather found on the eyestay and heel of the shoe. Tonal adidas branding, laces and lining complete the tonal look of the upper, while the all-black aesthetic is contrasted by the marbled pattern found on the sole unit of the shoe. Expect these shoes to arrive stateside in the next few weeks.

Author’s Take
I’ve never got on the hype train when it came to the adidas Originals Tubular Runner. I’m all for the newer styles and models that derived from the shoe, but not the original. With that being said, it’s an easy pass for me.
