The adidas D Lillard 2 will also celebrate Black History Month this year by paying homage to legendary African-American track and field athlete, Jesse Owens, who won four gold medals during the 1936 Berlin Olympics.
Inspired by Owens’ track uniform at the games, the silhouette is designed with an off-white color palette, while the upper consists as its focal point with a cracked, gold foil texture that symbolize the medals won. Additionally color blocked with cream suede and mesh paneling for a clean, comfortable style, the model pairs Oak Print hits with clean vintage-white at the midsole, eyelets and heel cap that blend with a clear outsole.
Look for this limited edition silhouette to debut at select adidas locations starting this month for $105.
