You would think that after just signing a $200 million dollar contract with adidas that’s set to begin October 1st, James Harden couldn’t be more excited to begin his new deal with the Three Stripes. I’m sure many athletes in his position would be so excited to begin the new deal that they’d probably start wearing adidas sneakers way before the contract even begins. Not James Harden though, as he continues to rock Nike/Air Jordans on the daily.
It appears that the president of adidas North America, Mark King is really not having that! He recently told ESPN, saying, “That’s part of the deal.” It’s been said that a big part of Harden’s appeal to adidas was the influence he has in the lifestyle realm. King goes on to mention that Harden is expected to wear adidas’ lifestyle sneakers whenever he’s not playing on the court. What do you think about James Harden’s current choice of footwear? Should he have the right to wear anything he wants until Oct 1st?

Author’s Take
First impressions are everything nowadays, and James Harden isn’t making much of his with adidas. I mean you just signed a $200 million dollar deal, it’s be wise to start wearing your brands sneakers a few weeks in advance, no?
