As adidas Unveils Its Samba Primeknit, Nike Teases Its Own Knitted Magista
Two years ago, the battle lines were drawn between adidas and Nike. Coinciding then with the Olympics in London, both parities unveiled their respected knitted footwear technologies -- Primeknit and Flyknit. As we embark on another monumental year with World Cup 2014 in Brazil this summer, adidas and Nike both present their own integration into football boots. Unlike the knitted war of 2012, adidas is first off the start as they recently presented their Samba primeknit. However, early next month on March 6, the Nike Magista will also drop. A teaser video above highlights (including a surprise Supreme inclusion) a slew of responses from around the world of various high-profile Nike footballers.

adidas Unveils the World's First Knitted Football Boot
adidas has today unveiled the Samba primeknit -- the worlds first knitted football boot. Promising an unparalleled second-skin fit, each boot is created from a single piece of yarn that's been treated for water resistance. Thanks to the innovative production method, adidas has been able to weave different zones into the upper to cater to different performance requirements, and the overall package promises new levels of flexibility and comfort while still retaining the strength of a traditional boot. The limited edition Samba primeknit will be launching March 17 at at select adidas boutiques and stockists, as well as adidas's online store.
