adidas is Bringing Back The OG adidas Riviera

adidas riviera 1 adidas riviera 2

Older sneakerheads are definitely going to appreciate this upcoming adidas release. If you were into sneaker during the ’80s, you probably know about the adidas Riviera. Considered to be a timeless classic, adidas has decided to bring back the model as a one-to-one remake of the OG design.

Designed and crafted exactly like the pairs from the ’80s, the Riviera comes constructed out of a premium suede upper accented by the velour material found in the stripes of the shoes. In addition to those traits, you will also find a matching heel tab. Branding appears on the tongue all while sitting on top of a gum rubber outsole. The two colorways will debut the return of the Riviera which can be your beginning March 5th. Cop or drop?

Author’s Take

I was a young buck when these released so I have no nostalgia feeling towards them. The design is simple but it worked back then and it works now. Truly a classic that I’m sure many people will be happy to see return.

adidas Resurrects the Riviera with a One-to-One Remake

Like the Stan Smith and Gazelle, the Riviera is one of the most timeless adidas Originals silhouettes around and now the casual '80s classic is getting its due as the Three Stripes brings it back for Spring/Summer 2016. Appearing as a one-to-one remake of the OG design, the 2016 retro sports a faithful reproduction of the original's colorways and construction alike as premium suede is joined by velour stripes and a matching heel tab while debossed shoe size details hit the tongue and gum rubber outsole.

Look for two colorways to hit adidas Originals stockists this Saturday, March 5.
