The adidas J Wall 2 will be treated in a special finish to commemorate Black History Month this year.
Specifically paying tribute to iconic African-American sprinter, Jesse Owens, who won international fame with four gold medals during the 1936 Berlin Olympics, the BHM iteration of this silhouette is defined by its crackled gold-like foil finish primarily on the toe box, side panels and ankle section. Complemented with white overlays across its upper, the pristine hue is continued towards its tongue, laces and durable sole unit.
Further detailed with ‘773’ branding on the tongue that references the number Owens wore while winning four gold medals, another standout element consists of the name “Frances” on the inner tongue which pays tribute to his mother, Frances Pulley.

Author’s Take
Gotta respect the inspiration and this finish looks solid. I like how traditional gold was utilized. A pretty good iteration nonetheless.
