On February 8, the Year of the Monkey commences for the Chinese Lunar calendar, and this year, the brand with the Three Stripes is celebrating the date with a striking Chinese New Year-themed pack. Three pairs of adidas Tubulars -- the Tubular Runner, Tubular X and Tubular Doom -- hold bright red colorways (red is believed to ward away evil and symbolise luck in Chinese culture) that are contrasted with clean white soles and minimal gold accents on the aglets and eyelets. The heel counters have been embossed with cheeky monkey faces in honor of the Chinese zodiac animal that represents those who have been born in the years 1956, 1968, 1980, 1992, 2004 and 2016.
