Check out this image of the star-studded lineup of Nike basketball athletes. Sometimes Nike just has to let people know what’s really good. When it comes to the shoes they come out with and they players the have under contract, there really is no contest when you’re debating what brand reigns supreme in the hardwood. Kobe, LeBron and KD have held down the fort for a good minute. Kyrie had a great freshman year with the Kyrie 1, Paul George and Anthony are itching to get their signature shoe, and Elena Delle-Donne is the best player in the WNBA.
It can be argued that Nike has 6 5 (sorry Kobe) of the top 10 players in the league and the reigning WNBA MVP on their squad. What other brand can say that? There is no doubt that Under Armour, Jordan Brand and adidas have been making big moves in the last couple years, but it’s going to take a hell of a lot more to get on that “Nike” level. Long live the Swoosh.
