This Sample Pair Of Nike Air Yeezys Was Destroyed By a Nike Designer

Some of the most valuable sneakers (as far as secondary market value goes) at the moment are any and every sneaker the Kanye West has ever designed. Any of his sneakers with Nike will cost you an arm and a leg on the resell market today and the adidas Yeezy releases are only climbing in value as well. So what other Yeezy sneakers can be more valuable than these?

Samples.

Sample Yeezys are so valuable that a consignment shop in Lacaster, PA is selling a pair of Yeezy 1 samples that was worn by Kanye for $75,000. However, the price of a sneaker like that is only worth as much value as we place on them. Nike Creative Director Mark Smith also owns a pair of Yeezy 1 samples, but he’s not selling them for that much money. He’s actually not selling them at all. He uploaded this picture above of some black Yeezy samples with the caption “yardwork sunday.” As you can see it looks like he used them while playing a good ol’ game of football in the mud.

Mark must not hold the Yeezys in such high regard as many others do, but it’s good to see someone actually WEAR their shoes, even if they can potentially be worth tens of thousands of dollars.

Author’s Take

Yeezys have never caught my attention, but I know that people pay A LOT for them. If I owned this sample pair I wouldn’t consider it a grail and hold onto it forever, what I would do is sell it and buy a nice car with the profits though.
