Are Colored Soles a Good Look On The adidas Tubular Runner?

With so many different versions of the adidas Tubular Runner releasing these days we hardly ever come back to the original that started it all. I mean the silhouette isn’t even a year old and it seems like it’s all but forgotten.

Maybe all we need is a few dope colorways here and there to remind us how great the OG can really be. Hopefully this new colorway will do just that. Coming in a full tonal navy upper in a combination on suede and neoprene. What really stands out on this pair though is the salmon-colored sole unit that we don’t really see on the Tubular. Additional salmon hits have been added on the inner liner, tongue tab and the laces. For the most part the sole has remained white or black on most pairs so to see some color is definitely a breath of fresh air.

What are your thoughts on this new Tubular colorway from the Three Stripes? Would you like to see more colored soles or do you prefer the white and black options?

Author’s Take

The options of having colored soles on the Tubular is a welcomed addition in my opinion. It gives a fresh new look to the silhouette while keeping that OG look. I would love to see more colored-sole options.
