After collaborating with sneaker customizer Soles By Sir to create custom football cleats for The University of Miami, adidas has now enlisted the help of another sneaker customizer for some more unique work.
This time around the University of Nebraska and adidas have reached out to sneaker designer Mache Customs to design cleats for the Cornhusker’s huge game this weekend against Miami. Oddly enough, this is the same game that The University of Miami will wear their custom cleats designed by Soles By Sir. These new custom cleats were designed to pay homage to the school’s post-season legacy and record setting 17 Orange Bowl appearances. The inside of the cleat features 17 “N’s” and a palm tree design to represent the record 17 Orange Bowls appearances and the outside of the cleat features the “Nebraska” moniker and each player’s number.
Will you be catching the battle of the custom cleats this weekend as The University of Nebraska takes on The University of Miami on September 19th?
