Here’s Why The Adidas Yeezy 350 Boost Isn’t The Same As Nike’s Roshe

I know I’m not the only sneakerhead that thought the adidas Yeezy 350 Boost looked strikingly similar to the Nike Flyknit Roshe NM. When the MSRP of $200 first leaked, everyone got on the association with Kanye to justify the price hike – including yours truly – when in reality, the shoes stand up to scrutiny. Turns out ‘Ye and adidas really aren’t out to shaft us all.

The Shoe Game’s Ray P did a nice video review on both the 350s and Roshe NM and raised some good points in favor of the Boosts. Namely that other comparable shoes (ie. the adidas Ultraboost) are still close in price and look way less stylish than the 350s. And that Boost material is used in Beamers. Who knew?

At the end of the day, comparisons be damned. The adidas Yeezy 350 Boost might look similar to the OG on the block in the Roshe, but comparisons end when it comes to comfort and construction. The Yeezys are on another level and the initial $200 price tag is worth it. The resale value of the shoe however, probably isn’t.
