It’s hard to rock orange. Not because it isn’t beautiful, but there just isn’t much color (some yellows) that can go with it. Still, sunsets are gorgeous, and the new J Wall 2 “Take On Summer” colorway is an homage to just that. As the sun sets on 2015 NBA offseason, John Wall will tip off his Take on Summer Tour in China with the release of this “solar orange” colorway.
There’s also some tumbled leather and a pearlized finish to them, so you can rock these kicks off the court. In fact, they make a great to-the-gym sneaker, since they’re flashy, but also comfortable. Again, make sure to wear denim or white and black with them, or possibly that yellow tee you never break out, because there’s just not much that matches with orange.
If you’re unfamiliar with the J Wall 2, there’s a deep wedge that runs along the center of the traction pattern, which provides solidity wherever Wall travels in that 94 by 50 area. There’s a 3-D mold to the silhouette that also increases stability, something the Wall’s team could use with the loss of Paul Pierce this offseason and the possibility they lose Bradley Beal in restricted free agency next summer if they can’t hash out an extension (the latter issue won’t really happen, since they’ll match even a max offer to him).
