With the help of Y-3, the adidas Pro Model basketball sneaker appears to be better equipped for the snow than the hardwood. Yohji Yamamoto gives the classic Pro Model a unique design that makes it almost unrecognizable if we didn’t know any better.
The Pro Model is given an extended ankle-hugging inner bootie that is meant to keep the elements out while simultaneously completely changing the aesthetics of the basketball sneaker. Composed of a premium leather, the sneaker had “Snow Model” branded on the heels of the shoe. One thing remains the same, and that’s none other than the traditional shell toe we’re all used to seeing on the Pro Model. This winter-proper sneaker adidas Y-3 Snow Model is now arriving at select retailers. Cop or pass?

Author’s Take
I live in sunny Caliornia, I have no use for the Snow Model whatsoever. I’m going to have to pass on this Y-3 model.
