The adidas Originals Superstar is set to release with a pack that they’re calling ”Franz Beckenbauer”. The pack will pay tribute to one of soccer’s greatest players by releasing two iterations of the adidas Originals Superstar.
Franz Beckenbauer’s career spanned two decades playing for German National Team and the New York Cosmos. The Superstar will come in both black and grey mesh uppers. The sneaker will also have ”The Kaiser of New York” branding on the side of the heel, due to the fact that he was known as “Der Kaiser” during his playing days. Completing the look are white hits found in the lining as well as in the sole unit and tongue branding on the shoe. Set to release September 1st, any soccer fans plan on picking a pair up?

The mesh upper looks dope on the Superstar, which I’m sure will also make the shoe more comfortable. Although it’s a cool sneaker, I’m not too big on soccer so it’s a pass for me.
