First, of course, in the spirit of fairness I will not include our KicksOnFire Youtube channel although I think it is worth checking out if you haven’t already.
Moving along, “Sneaker Youtube” is not “new” anymore. It has grown tremendously and in some cases it has also grown tremendously boring. Your Youtube feed can become an endless mess of Nikes, adidas, Sauconys, etc. and it can be tough to find the best of it without wasting your time. I thought it might be fun and useful to list ten channels I still find myself enjoying from time to time. The list is not a top ten or anything like that. It is in no particular order, just ten channels I am digging right now.
MJO23DAN
MJO23DAN not only has a very nice collection filled with some OG Jordan classics but he is also chuck full of sneaker experience. He has been into sneakers over 20 years and his knowledge and insight oozes from this content.
Jordan “Shoezeum” Geller
Obviously, you hear “Shoezeum” and you think of the world famous, Guinness world record holding, “largest sneaker collection in the world.” Well, Jordan Geller’s channel is a like a trip through that collection, a couple pairs at a time. All accompanied by sneaker history and tidbits – even the biggest sneakerheads will occasionally learn a thing or two!
Nightwing2303
Nightwing2303 is going to come up on any sneaker Youtube list worth reading. Nightwing2303 is one of VERY few “sneaker reviewers” who actually reviews sneakers. Basketball sneakers particularly. Some of the most useful sneaker content on the net.
TheEXCLUCITY
Straight to the point, quick looks and on feet videos. Did I mention they are usually early looks posted a couple days before release?
WeAreTheTrend
PTC aka WeAreTheTrend puts an emphasis on trying to create well produced sneaker content. It is an unconventional approach on a platform where quantity is often much more successful than quality. I have a lot of respect for his dedication to his way of doing things and the effort involved.
Mr. Foamer Simpson
Duh, right? The best personality on Sneaker Youtube. The dude is magnetic. I walk around quoting this guy. Admittedly, if it is an unboxing video I’m skipping over it on my feed, but for those who like that content there is no one better. When Foamie and his brother Young Buckets kick out something outside of their standardized unboxing (like the Air Max video below) I am the biggest fan there is.
Bull1trc
Bull1trc has been one of my favorite channels for a really long time. Another great personality who comes across very genuine. I need that in my feed, someone who’s videos are natural and honest. It’s casual entertainment; watching a Bull video is like hanging with a buddy in his bedroom, drinking beers, talking kicks.
JStar
JStar is a smart, well spoken, cool dude. That is really all I have for why I enjoy his channel. He just flips on the camera with a thought in his head, talks for a few minutes and leaves you with something to think about. In the mindless sea of “this panel is blue, the sole is blue, the laces are white” videos, it is nice to have a video pop up on the timeline and make you think a little.
Mr. Crispy Coyle
Talk about just flipping on the camera and letting it rip! Coyle is the man, just watch a few of his videos and you will see exactly why he is on this list. Then go bug him on Twitter to make more videos. Also, New Balance fans this is a great channel for you!
Just4Kicks212
Just4Kicks212 was one of the first Youtube channels I subscribed to and I still dig it. He doesn’t get up content consistently or very often these days but when he does it is just entertaining. Another channel that really feels like you are just kicking it with a friend. Plus, his story time vids will leave you in stitches. Hilarious, trust.
