2014 - May 2 - CoverSomewhere in Portland, there were loud cheers when Damian Lillard hit that game-winning and series-ending shot that eliminated the Houston Rockets. It was coming from the arena, of course, but it was also emanating from adidas Basketball offices because they had just seen their huge investment pay dividends already just weeks into their new deal. After an extended run of bad luck with their signature athletes, it was nice to see the brand enjoying some good news for once. There is a long road for Lillard and the Blazers ahead of them if they want to keep things rolling, but for now adidas (Lillard was rocking the CrazyQuick 2) will take that win and savor it for a bit.
