As we head into Labor Day Weekend and start the long road to the holidays (AKA the time of the year when some of you will be using students loans to pay for your kicks because priorities), let’s say goodbye to summertime the only way that sneakerheads know how – by making a list of the season’s best kicks alongside its best summer jams. Wait, what?
Chances are if you’ve champagned and campaigned (©Jalen Rose) the past few months, you’ve heard many of the songs that will comprise this list. It didn’t matter if you were at the club or at the family BBQ or even at the local urban clothing establishment looking for something to match your “Toro Bravo” 4s (spoiler: they didn’t make the list), these were the songs that were blasting in your ears, like it or not. And in those same places, you probably saw these kicks on the feet of many sneakerheads as they try to capture the spirit of the summer.

10. Nike LeBron 10 Low “Championship Pack”/Drake’s “Started From The Bottom”
It only makes sense (in our own twisted sense of sneaker logic) that the kicks that represent the biggest name in basketball today and the song that represents the biggest (?) name in hip-hop today team up and well, start at the bottom.
